Yves Le Gélard has been appointed Group Chief Information Officer

Yves Le Gélard joined GDF SUEZ as Group Chief Information Officer, and is a member of the Executive Committee. He is replacing Véronique Durand-Charlot, who will soon take on further roles in the Group’s transformation.

Yves Le Gélard is a graduate of HEC Paris (École des Hautes Etudes Commerciales). He started his career in 1983 at IBM, where he held various technical and sales roles before becoming Executive Assistant for the IBM France CEO.

In 1994, Yves Le Gélard joined Capgemini as General Manager of the managed services division. He was appointed Head of Global Sales in 2000 and General Manager for Outsourcing in 2003.

Yves Le Gélard led the European acquisitions programme of Fujitsu, becoming General Manager for Continental Europe, based in London. He then took charge of the group’s global accounts in Tokyo. In 2009, he was appointed Executive Vice-President of Fujitsu America, based in New York, before joining SAP AG in 2012 to head up consulting and projects in Europe.
