Yoven Moorooven is appointed CEO of ENGIE’s Africa Business Unit as of April 15th, 2018. He succeeds Bruno Bensasson who is leaving the Group

Yoven, a Mauritian national, holds a master’s degree in econometrics and a master’s degree in banking, finance and commodities. Yoven Moorooven began his career in 2003 at Gaselys (ex-joint-venture company between Société Générale and Gaz de France). He spent three years in the company as a market economist and as an originator. In 2006, he moved into investment banking at the Macquarie Bank in London to develop its energy markets division. After five years, he became partner at Macquarie. In 2012, he moved to Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for the management of its gas, power and coal origination and trading activities in Europe.

Yoven Moorooven joined ENGIE in 2013. Until 2016, he held the position of head of the International Division within the Global Energy Management Business Unit, responsible for the development of all new energy market activities, and more specifically biomass valorization in which the Group has acquired a worldwide leadership.
